2. Make Together — Dress for the Weather! (Student Book pg 24)

The craft is decorating a doll with summer clothing stickers. Introduce the craft and how to do it, do it together with the students and help them if necessary.
a) Students are given a doll and summer clothing stickers (short-sleeve tops, shorts, summer hats, sandals).
b) Students decorate the clothing stickers using markers.
c) Students also color and decorate the doll with markers to match a summer theme.
d) After decorating, students place the summer clothing stickers onto the doll.
Teacher Tips: the teacher circulates, supports, and reinforces summer clothing words.

3. Show and tell

Have a show and tell where students introduce their craft to their friends. Focus on simple phrases. Be sure to congratulate them afterwards and get the other students to applaud so that they don’t feel nervous showing their craft.

4. Wrap-up

Review target words with the [Let’s Chant] song, then finish the class with the Goodbye song.

2. Storybook Review (Student Book pg 25)

a) Introduce the sticker board and show the stickers.
b) Guide students to place the correct sticker in each box.
c) After placing each sticker, students say the word aloud: hot, rainy, snowy, windy, stormy.

3. Workbook pg 10 — Review

a) Students look at the two pictures carefully.
b) They compare the scenes and circle three differences.
c) Ask guiding questions to support observation: “Look outside the window. Is the weather the same?” “What is Roo wearing?” “Do you see a hat?”
Answers: the weather outside the window, Roo’s raincoat, the hat.

4. Workbook pg. 11 — Review

a) Students look at each weather scene.
b) They color the main weather icon in each picture and say the weather word aloud.
c) Your Turn: in the “Your Turn” box, students draw their own weather scene.

5. Activity (Vocabulary) — Weather Switch

Objective: review weather vocabulary (hot, rainy, snowy, windy, stormy) through listening and movement.
Materials: chairs.
a) Have students sit in a circle and assign each one a weather word: hot, rainy, snowy or windy.
b) The teacher stands in the middle and calls out one weather word (e.g. “Rainy!”).
c) Students assigned to that word must quickly stand up and switch seats with each other.
d) Special Rule: when the teacher calls “Stormy!”, everyone must stand up and find a new seat.
e) The teacher can try to take a seat during the switch to let a student become the new caller.
Teacher Tips: start slow, then increase speed. Mix words unpredictably. Call “Stormy!” occasionally to reset energy.

6. Wrap-up
