Students will be able to
- Identify and name basic shapes while decorating a space crown
- Decorate a space-themed crown using shape stickers
- Introduce their craft using simple shape words or short phrases
1. Warm-Up
Hello Song · “How are you?” · “How’s the weather today?” · Day of the week check
2. Make Together — Explore Space with the Shape Crown (Student Book pg 24)
- The craft is decorating a paper space crown. Introduce the craft and how to do it, do it together with the students and help them if necessary.
- a) The teacher guides students to assemble a space-themed crown.
- b) Students decorate the crown by attaching shape stickers.
- Teacher Tips: encourage students to name the shapes as they decorate the crown.
- ** This craft may change if materials are not available for purchase.
3. Show and tell
- Have a show and tell where students introduce their craft to their friends. Focus on simple phrases. Be sure to congratulate them afterwards and get the other students to applaud so that they don’t feel nervous showing their craft.
4. Wrap-up
- Review target words with the [Let’s Chant] song, then finish the class with the Goodbye song.

- Recognize and name the shapes (circle, square, triangle, heart) through workbook activities
- Answer simple questions about shapes during review activities
1. Warm-Up

2. Storybook Review (Student Book pg. 25)
- a) Introduce the sticker board and show the stickers.
- b) Guide students to place the correct sticker in each box.
- c) After placing each sticker, students say the word aloud: circle, square, triangle, heart, shapes.
3. Workbook pg 10 — Review
- a) Have a look at the picture and find the shapes.
- b) Have students circle and color the corresponding shapes identified.
- c) Discuss with the students afterwards: “What character is in the living room?” “What shapes do you see?” “What colors do you see?”
4. Workbook pg 11 — Review
- a) Direct students to color each part of the picture by matching the shapes to the color key below.
- b) Check understanding by asking students to name the shape and color as they work: “What shape is this?” “What color is the circle?” “Is this a square or a triangle?” “What color do we use for the heart?”
5. Activity (Vocabulary) — Say it back
- a) Tell students you’re going to say a list of words.
- b) Ask them to listen carefully and repeat the words back in the same order.
- c) Start with just 2 words.
- d) Increase the number of words gradually (up to 4 or 5) as students get better. Teacher: “Sun, truck” → students repeat “Sun, truck.” Teacher: “Turtle, sandwich, sock” → students repeat “Turtle, sandwich, sock.”
6. Wrap-up
- Review target words with the [Let’s Chant] song, then finish the class with the Goodbye song.
