Lesson Goals

1. Warm-Up
Hello Song · “How are you?” · “How’s the weather today?” · Day of the week check
2. Story Review (Student Book pg 10-21)
- Go over the story one more time. Ask key questions about the story. “Where is Tigo’s brother?” “Where is Tigo’s sister?”
3. Activity (Story) — Fishing Tigo’s Family
- Objective: Students complete the story’s park map by fishing all five main characters.
- Materials: drawing tools, small pieces of paper, metal paperclips, a basket, two magnetic fishing rods.
- a) Assign one of the 5 characters to each student to ensure an even distribution.
- b) Students draw their assigned character on a piece of paper and attach a paperclip.
- c) Collect all drawings into one large ‘Park Basket.’ Mix them well.
- d) Divide the class into 2 teams.
- e) The teacher starts the mission by shouting: “Where is dad?”
- f) One student from each team rushes to the basket with a magnetic fishing rod.
- If the student fishes the correct character: they shout “Gotcha!”, hand the card to the teacher, and pass the rod to the next teammate. The teacher then calls a new character.
- If the student fishes the wrong character: they put the card back and immediately pass the rod on. Teams cannot move on until the current character is caught.
- g) The first team to collect all 5 members (dad, mom, brother, sister and Tigo) wins the race!
4. Wrap-up
- Review target words with the [Let’s Chant] song, then finish the class with the Goodbye song.

1. Warm-Up

2. Workbook pg 6-7 — Story
- Students identify where each family member is hiding and place the correct sticker on the matching sentence.
- a) “Let’s look at the picture. Where is Tigo’s family?”
- b) Prompt them: “Who is in the tree?” “Who is in the bush?” “Who is in the bag?” “Who is in the flowers?”
- c) Point to the sentences below. “Read with me: ‘I am in the ___.’” Explain that they need to choose the correct place for each character.
- d) Guide students to find the correct sticker for each character and put it in the box.
3. Skills — Numbers: 1, 2 (Student Book pg 22)
- a) Activity 1: help students count the pictures and colour the same number of circles. “Count and color the same number of circles.”
- b) Activity 2: guide students to draw 1 tree and 2 flowers in the garden picture. “Draw one tree and two flowers in the garden.”
- c) Use the story book to ask questions about numbers. “How many family members do you see?” “How many brothers does Tigo have?” “How many buses can you find?”
4. Activity (Numbers 1,2) — Lucky Two!
- Objective: Students accurately identify and practise the numbers 1 and 2 by finding matching sock cards.
- a) Give each student one sock card. “Keep it a secret! Don’t show anyone. You are One!”
- b) Play music. Students dance alone.
- c) Stop the music and shout: “Two!”
- d) Students must randomly find a friend and hold hands.
- e) Partners peek at each other’s cards. If it’s a match: “Two!” They hold their cards up and move to the Winner Zone. If not: “One!” They hide their cards again and wait for the music to restart.
5. Wrap-up
